For the second year, a Lignoworks graduate student is among five students from the FIBRE network who will participate in the student symposium that accompanies the annual Wallenberg Prize Symposium in Stockholm, Sweden in September. The Wallenberg Prize recognizes scientific and technical achievements that have had significant impact on the global forest industry and is the forest industry’s most prestigious award.

The students were selected by a competitive process. Each network nominated two students, who made oral presentations on their work at the FIBRE annual meeting in Vancouver. The final five were chosen by a panel of judges.
